$45.05/hr - $60.95/hr Responsibilities
Performance Tuning: Analyze, tune, and optimize database performance, including query analysis, indexing, and partitioning strategies Maintenance & Operations: Perform regular maintenance, such as backups, restores, upgrades, and patching, to ensure database health and security High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA/DR): Design, implement, and manage HA/DR solutions to ensure continuous operation and data recoverability Database Design: Design and implement database schemas, partitioning, and indexing strategies for efficient data management Security: Monitor and manage database security, responding to security alerts and ensuring data integrity Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts and tools (e.g., using Python, PowerShell, Ansible) to automate routine tasks and processes Requirements
5+ years of experience Experience with PostgreSQL DBA administration, Shell/Bash scripting Experience with set-up and maintenance of one or more databases in a client/server environment (UDB, Oracle, Progress, SQL Server, or Access) Database experience includes creating tablespace areas, tables and views, and logical and physical database design Knowledge about monitoring and performance improvements Knowledge of database maintenance procedures Knowledge with clustering and high availability technology solutions Knowledge of interface with Client/Server and Java programming languages, most commonly Visual Basic Experience with Repmgr; HA Proxy is preferred Proficient in the internals of a large-scale client/server operating system Pay and benefits
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
