Overview

Do Something Wonderful! Intel is seeking a Digital Circuit design engineer to work on full custom and memory circuits within the Atom CPU Circuit Technology team. This fast-paced, dynamic environment involves high performance, low power CPU design with a focus on a wide spectrum of circuit activities, from technical readiness and device/cell characterization to bit-cell simulations, critical path simulations, and design of custom blocks to meet Power/Performance/Area constraints. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and build custom digital circuits for a CPU, including memory and caches. Design floorplans, perform circuit design and schematic entry, run simulations for CPU blocks, and verify functionality to optimize for power, performance, area, timing, and yield. Create block-level DFT models, develop memory test tools, and improve and automate flows to streamline design processes. Collaborate cross-functionally to report design progress, collect and track performance issues, and resolve CPU design challenges. Optimize performance, power, and area; reduce leakage; and drive characterization of memory instances and memory compilers. Work with CPU architecture and layout teams to ensure robust electrical capabilities and functionality. Qualifications

You must meet the minimum education requirements and qualifications to be considered. Additional preferred qualifications are listed as well. Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering or related STEM field with 4+ years of experience in a high-tech company OR PhD in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering or related STEM field with 2+ years of experience in a high-tech company. Preferred Qualifications

Experience in CMOS circuit design Experience in digital logic and optimizations; trade-offs for power, performance, and area Experience in Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) Experience in low power implementation techniques Experience in memory design Additional Details
