Account Manager Responsibilities
Prospect for new accounts and maintain existing client relationships. Provide clients with product services/information, develop sales presentations, and follow through with each client and opportunity. Maintain client pricing and payments, A/R management, client correspondence, QA support, and participate in industry and trade shows. Align with EMCOR Mesa’s written philosophy of sales, established processes, and procedures related to sales. Identify prospective clients and projects by contacting Chief Engineers, Property Managers, Asset Managers, and other stakeholders. Engage in outreach through phone calls, visits, conferences, internet research, and leveraging existing relationships. Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients and collaborate with the Sales Manager, Branch Manager, and team to review and improve account programs and processes to meet objectives. Manage through analysis and solution-based programs to maximize sales growth, volume, and profitability of account clients. Prepare and deliver client presentations and develop, write, and review client proposal documents including financial and technical sections using standard templates and pricing models. Develop sales at defined margins to attain market share. Communicate professionally with Operations, chiller teams, project management, sales teams, and other departments within EMCOR/Mesa. Demonstrate commitment to growth and development by attending product and sales training events and participating in professional training provided by EMCOR/Mesa. Achieve written annual sales plans. An annual draw is established by management for each account manager, provided in equal, weekly payments. Each account manager is given annual sales plans for new, maintenance, and automation and controls, with accountability to meet or exceed these plans. The dollar value of the sales plans is set to cover the cost of employment; achieving the plans annually is required to maintain employment. Compensation is detailed in Mesa’s posted sales compensation plan. Job Specifications
Bachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline 3+ years of experience in HVAC commercial service or related field Relevant technical experience, preferably in Facilities Management or Operations and Maintenance Strong customer presentation, sales aptitude, and financial acumen, including cost modeling for sales proposals Independent decision making Strong computer skills using MS Office, particularly Excel Competitive, articulate, goal-oriented, ambitious, and high energy Benefits and Other
