About the Program Phillips 66 Lubricants is one of the largest finished lubricants suppliers in the U.S., known for manufacturing and marketing high-quality base oils and sophisticated formulations in three lubricant brands: Phillips 66, Kendall Motor Oil and Red Line Synthetic Oil. These brands, along with private-label suppliers and original-equipment manufacturers in North America, position Phillips 66 in key lubricants markets. Our products reach automotive, trucking, agriculture, aviation, power generation, mining, construction, and emerging energy sectors. Phillips 66 Lubricants operates seven U.S.-based lubricants plants, proprietary research and development facilities, and a comprehensive distribution network.
Upon receiving a full-time offer with Phillips 66, you will be enrolled in
KATALYST , a premier industry-leading energy commodity supply and trading development program for market-savvy university hires. KATALYST associates experience a brief but dynamic immersion to the Phillips 66 energy value chain prior to two targeted roles aimed at acquiring knowledge, impacting the business, and building relationships that will cultivate a fulfilling career. Associates are provided with networking opportunities, career coaching, and exposure to senior leadership team members.
The
KATALYST
program is built on the principle that Knowledge combined with Application leads to career Transformation. The curriculum focuses on our key businesses and markets, and includes asset tours, case studies, discussions and presentations with subject matter experts, focused analysis assignments, networking opportunities with key management throughout the company, and presentation opportunities to business leaders.
First Assignment Upon completion of the immersion portion of the program, the
KATALYST
associates are placed in their first assignment in the Lubricants organization in Houston, TX. Assignment duration is dependent on business need and performance. Assignments provide experiential learning and development opportunities, networking, career coaching, management exposure, and the development of professional and market acumen. Associates gain transferable skills applicable to our Marketing, Lubricants, Specialties, Value Chain and Optimization, and Risk organizations, enabling a career across the Phillips 66 energy value chain. The program aims to identify and guide high-performing employees into their best-fit career paths.

Requirements for a Phillips 66 University New Hire Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics/Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent field of study, or a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or MBA
Graduation date prior to December 31, 2025 or May 31, 2027
Available to work at Houston, TX headquarters
Preferred:
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Previous internship or co-op participant in related industry
Strong analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Available to report on January 21, 2026 or July 15, 2026
