Neos is seeking a

Sr. Microsoft Power Platform Developer

for a contract role with our client in Austin, TX.

Work arrangement:

HYBRID – candidates currently residing in the Austin, TX area will be considered. Position will be 3 days remote with 2 onsite days (Thursday and Friday) at 701 W 51st St, Austin, TX 78751.

Job Description Plans, develops, tests, and documents computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems. Evaluates user requests for new or modified programs to determine feasibility, cost, time required, compatibility with the current system, and computer capabilities. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives. Formulates a development plan using methodologies such as structured analysis and design or object-oriented development.

This position will work to develop, implement, and support the expansion of the Texas HHS Microsoft 365 Power Platform and complete development to support DSHS CFO’s Invoice Tracking System (ITS). Responsibilities involve Power Platform areas including Process Automation, Dataverse, Integrations with external services and products, Model-driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Power Pages, and more.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and support Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Pages, Dataverse, Power Automate, connectors) in line with project requirements.

Design and develop applications using Dataverse, SharePoint, or other backend data storage models.

Collaborate with functional and technical staff on projects; participate in Agile development and sprint planning.

Provide training and mentorship to other developers on Microsoft Power Platform technology.

Assist in extending Power Platform and Power Pages using JavaScript and custom plug-ins.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications

8 years of work experience with SaaS and/or PaaS environments (Required).

4 years of Microsoft Power Platform development experience (Preferred).

4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Pages, Connectors, and Power Automate (Preferred).

2 years of experience with design and development of Power Pages, Canvas Apps, and Model-Driven Apps using Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, or other databases (Preferred).

2 years of strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills (Preferred).

2 years of teamwork and collaboration across cross-functional teams (Preferred).

2 years of ability to work independently and in teams (Preferred).

2 years of experience training and mentoring other developers (Preferred).

2 years or more of experience with Agile development and sprint planning (Preferred).

1 year of experience with Power Automate Cloud Flows, Desktop Flows, business process Flows, and Process Advisor (Preferred).

1 year of experience extending Power Platform and Power Pages using JavaScript and custom plug-ins (Preferred).

1 year of understanding of Dataverse tables and usage; knowledge of connectors and external integration; understanding of Power BI; and best practices for Power Platform development and operations (Preferred).

1 year of experience with Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Admin Center; knowledge of agile methodologies for State of Texas agencies and healthcare/public health experience (Preferred).

Prior experience with Power Platform mobile apps, Power Virtual Agents, and Power Apps portals (Preferred).
