Overview
Network Integrator for a new DOD effort. Location: Spring Lake, NC. Job Type: Full time 40 hours. Travel: Up to 25%. Security Clearance: Secret. Sherpa 6, Inc has an exciting opportunity for a Network Integrator who will work with the customer, vendors and team to meet program requirements across all project phases, including site surveys, NMIBs, IPRs, and installation of hardware and software, IA, and FOC activities. Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive network integration support to an integrated tactical network. Facilitate testing and integration of cutting-edge technologies fielded to the US Army Warfighter; collaborate with technology innovation cells to ensure networks are compatible and optimized. Assist the Network Lead on planning support and integration ITN mission command, legacy, tactical radio, OTH and cloud systems. Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security. Administer Linux and other server systems. Devise plans and drive execution of each phase of contract objectives and projects. Identify network improvements and innovations with emphasis on configuration management down to the Configuration Item (CI) levels. Perform quality control checks and configuration audits to ensure effectiveness and reliability of communications systems, tools, and products. Clearly and effectively communicate system capabilities and functionality to non-technical stakeholders. Evaluate engineering costs to identify efficiencies and improved delivery of technical service to the customer. Communicate with senior level government stakeholders (written and verbal). Plan and conduct analysis/research, design/development, and other assignments per design, engineering, and customer/program specifications. Serve as a key component to a technical management team including uniformed, government and other contractor personnel. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field 10 years experience CompTIA certifications: A+, Network+ and Security+ Military experience with tactical networks Ability to configure, support, and troubleshoot computers, networks, and servers (DNS / DHCP / Web / NTP) Experience with systems integration in a cloud environment (e.g., Azure, AWS) Excellent problem-solving skills for complex systems Superior communications and written skills Must be a US Citizen Must pass a background check and drug screening Preferred Experience
Microsoft certifications: MCSA and MCSE CISCO certifications Background Screening
