Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Edward Mann are hiring for our client who are searching for a Controller in New York City (4 days per week on site) Job Title: Controller 120K plus 20% bonus and great benefits package Overview: We are a growing wholesale distributor with multiple locations across New York and Pennsylvania. Controller
with strong experience in accounting, preferably in a wholesale or distribution environment. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions and supporting strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities: Manage general ledger, A/R, A/P, payroll, and fixed assets Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning process Perform journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Oversee ESOP-related accounting and reporting (no tax responsibilities) Coordinate audits and work with external advisors as needed Supervise and develop accounting staff Ideal Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) Strong accounting experience, in a similar leadership role Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Proficient in ERP/accounting systems Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans (75% of premiums covered for employees and families) Paid time off and holidays Company-paid life and disability insurance Outstanding retirement benefits, including an ESOP and 401(k) Employee appreciation events and performance recognition 4 days on site per week Office-based role requiring at least 40 hours per week Supervises accounts payable and receivable teams For more information please apply ASAP!
