Dean of Social Sciences & Humanities In-Person Teaching * This recruitment is to establish an applicant pool for future vacancies. Individuals will be contacted as vacancies occur. * Olympic College is specifically recruiting adjunct faculty to teach the World Civilization sequence (HIST 126, 127, and 128). Candidates must be available to teach in person on the Bremerton campus. Olympic College seeks applicants dedicated to student-centered learning, closing achievement gaps, supporting diversity and social justice, and employing data-informed decision-making in their instruction. Part-time positions are open continuously and reviewed quarterly. Applicants considered active for 12 months from the application date and may be contacted when vacancies arise. The college is a public, accredited community college located on the scenic Kitsap Peninsula, with views of mountains and water, and accessible from Seattle. Essential Functions

Teach in-person classes on the Bremerton campus and distance classes as needed. Deliver college-level courses according to catalog, syllabi, and departmental guidelines. Provide quality instruction, including preparation and grading. Distribute syllabi to students and the division office as requested. Maintain accurate student records and complete required forms. May include evening classes and instruction at satellite campuses. Communicate punctually with students, faculty, and staff. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in History from an accredited institution. Previous teaching experience. Ability to teach World Civilization courses (HIST 126, 127, 128). Note: We cannot sponsor visas. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and submit official transcripts within 30 days of employment. This is a quarterly contracted position with salary based on education and experience. The position may include evening/weekend classes, satellite campus instruction, and off-campus travel.
