Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking Heart Failure Faculty in New Brunswick, NJ. The Heart Failure Faculty within the Division of Cardiovascular Disease and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School provides outstanding patient care and mentoring and teaching of cardiology fellows. Candidate will have the opportunity to participate in clinical/basic science research as well as assume higher to leadership roles in Heart Failure.

Duties And Responsibilities The primary responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to the following:
Understand and implement responsibilities related to heart failure services and ensure compliance with all rules and regulations.
Provide and maintain a high level of quality in-patient and out-patient care for heart failure patients
Provide medical care for patients with heart transplantation, pulmonary hypertension, and on short-and long-term mechanical circulatory support
Participate in outreach activities
Contribute to and participate in the development and maintenance of the Division’s educational mission/program of teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents and fellows at RWJUH and affiliate hospitals in clinical general cardiology and other areas sub-specialties
Participate in CME development programs.
Participate in the development and sustenance of heart failure research program/s.
Collaborate with other faculty to initiate heart failure research studies
Leadership opportunities in Heart Failure and Mechanical Circulatory Support are available

Education/Qualifications
Candidate must possess an MD degree
Candidate must have completed 3 years of internship and internal medicine residency
Completion of 3 years of general cardiology fellowship and accredited advanced heart failure fellowship.
Certificates/Licenses
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
Training and certification in echocardiography a plus
Obtain New Jersey License

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $450,000 to $585,000 per year. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
