Punahou School is actively recruiting an Assistant Coach for the Girls Intermediate Soccer Team. The Assistant Coach position is responsible for assisting the head coach with organizing the needs of the sport within the Athletic Program. This role assists with conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing student athletes in game strategies and techniques. The ideal candidate will have previous experience coaching a soccer team in an educational setting, strong communication and organizational skills, the physical ability to demonstrate positions typical to the sport, and a positive track record of coaching performance. Responsibilities

Assist the head coach with organizing the needs of the soccer program within the Athletics Department. Conduct practices, motivate students, and instruct student athletes in game strategies and techniques. Demonstrate positions typical to the sport and implement effective coaching practices. Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Bachelor’s Degree preferred. One (1) year of positive and effective experience with a track record of leadership in a successful interscholastic program as a coach, or other related athletic experience. Background in teaching preferred, with experience working with adolescents. Knowledge of the value of athletics and competition at the intermediate and high school level. Substantial knowledge of the game demonstrated through development of comprehensive practice plans, offensive and defensive schemes, implementation of off-season expectations for student athletes, and implementation of effective and contemporary teaching/coaching practices. Position Details

Work Year: 3 Months School Year: 2025-2026, Winter Season Work Hours: Monday - Friday late afternoons, and weekends Stipend Range: $1,560 - $3,450 - Compensation is commensurate with qualifications Punahou School offers a comprehensive total rewards program that includes competitive pay.
