Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (both face-to-face and online), conducting research and pursuing external funding, and engaging in university and professional service. One or more Assistant/Associate Professors specializing in Communication Sciences and Disorders/Speech-Language Pathology. An earned doctoral degree in speech-language pathology or related area. Areas of Interest (No Minimum Level Required)

Options exist for a non-tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor. For appointments at the rank of Assistant Professor, candidates must demonstrate potential for effective teaching, student mentoring, and conducting research in the area of expertise. For appointments at the rank of Associate Professor, candidates must demonstrate a history of successful teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate levels, student mentoring, research productivity, and academic/professional service. Licensure/Certification
Ideal candidates will be eligible for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence and North Carolina licensure. Description of the Department or Unit
The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences includes accredited graduate programs in Athletic Training and Speech-Language Pathology, a new graduate program in Occupational Therapy, an undergraduate program in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and minors in American Sign Language and Communication Sciences and Disorders. The department operates the Charles and Geneva S. Scott Scottish Rite Communication Disorders Clinic.
