Responsibilities

Experience and knowledge of WIDA (World-class Instructional Design and Assessment) Conduct WIDA Assessments and report on progress Strong ability to interpret WIDA data and report Experience with Distance Teaching and Learning Extensive experience with educational software( Zoom/Google Meet/ Teams/Google classroom) Develop and deliver lesson plans utilizing a broad range of appropriate differentiated techniques and strategies addressing all aspects of communication that develop each student’s ability to read, write, speak, and listen in content areas at levels that ensure learners meet or exceed learning targets, and allow English learners to meaningfully access the district’s instructional program. Commitment to providing a world-class education to students from historically underserved communities Provide inclusionary instruction and support to ELL students. Work with classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction. Understand and comply with the policies, rules, and regulations regarding English learners. Attend IEP, Section 504, or other related meetings necessary for student assessment and/or compliance with federal and/or state law as it relates to English Learners. Provide instruction that is aligned with the Friendship Network’s instructional program so as to ensure ELL students meet and/or exceed grade level learning targets Develop and deliver lesson plans that utilize a broad range of appropriate teaching techniques and strategies Maintain complete and accurate records of student progress and evidence by progress notes, report cards etc. Serves as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders Adapt curriculum to provide individual, small group, and/or remedial instruction as to meet the needs of individual students and subgroups of students Employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students Uses assessment data to refine curriculum; and informs instructional practices. Accountable for meeting individual student growth targets for assigned caseload Creates a positive, achievement-oriented learning environment. Reflects on successes and areas of growth, seeks to improve performance, and responds strategically to feedback. Participates in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions. Invests parents and families in their children’s academic success through regular communication. Manage allotted learning time to maximize student achievement Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university Excellent verbal and written communication skills Successful completion of the Praxis II Exam One year of teaching experience and results demonstrating high student achievement and significant growth

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 and above Evidence of ongoing professional development and/or continuing education Two years of teaching experience and results demonstrating high student achievement and significant growth
