Overview

Software Engineer - Level 5 at Northrop Grumman. This role is located in Morrisville, NC; Fairfax, VA; or Linthicum, MD and is 100% onsite with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance type: SCI. Travel: Yes, up to 10% of the time. Responsibilities

Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determine computer user needs: analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; design and develop compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensure software standards are met. Basic Qualifications

Requires an active Top-Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance [TS/SCI] at time of application Level 5: (Staff level) Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of software development experience (or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed Bachelor’s) Master’s degree with 10 years of software development experience PhD with 8 years of software development experience Experience with Java programming language Experience with Git Experience with Kubernetes/Helm Experience with Databases (Elastic, Mongo, MySQL or equivalents) Experience with Product Owner, Scrum Master, Configuration Management, Integration Test and Development (working directly with them) Preferred Qualifications

STEM degree Experience with REST architecture Experience as a full-stack developer Experience with software development on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) About Space Sector

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards program provides competitive compensation and benefits. Primary level salary range: $155,400.00 – $256,400.00. The final offer is determined by factors including scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
