Overview

Research Associate - Antibody Discovery and Development at TegMine Therapeutics. We are on a mission to restore futures cut short by cancer. Our advanced O-glycoproteomics platform is pioneering the next generation of cancer-specific therapeutic targets, and we are dedicated to delivering best-in-class therapies for currently untreatable diseases. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing the processes we use to produce therapeutic antibodies. This hands-on laboratory position focuses on protein expression, purification, and biochemical characterization, supporting our therapeutic pipeline from discovery through the early preclinical stages. Responsibilities

Protein Expression: Express recombinant antibodies through transient and stable transfections in mammalian cell lines (e.g., CHO, HEK293). Protein Purification: Develop and execute multi-step purification strategies using chromatography systems (e.g., ÄKTA), employing techniques like Protein A affinity, ion-exchange (IEX), and size-exclusion chromatography (SEC). Biochemical & Biophysical Characterization: Characterize purified antibodies using analytical methods such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, flow cytometry, ELISA, internalization, in vitro killing, kinetics analysis, HPLC, and UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Data Analysis & Documentation: Document all experimental procedures and results in an electronic lab notebook (ELN). Analyze, interpret, and present data clearly to the project team. Process Optimization: Help develop and refine robust, scalable processes for antibody production and purification, proactively identifying and troubleshooting issues. Qualifications

Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field with 2+ years of industry experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of industry experience. Technical Skills: Proficient in mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques. Demonstrated expertise in protein purification using chromatography systems. Familiarity with standard analytical techniques for protein characterization (e.g., SDS-PAGE, HPLC, flow cytometry, ELISA). Personal Attributes: Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills. Collaborative spirit with the ability to work effectively independently and in a team.
