Our Westfield, MA Production Site is currently seeking an experienced EHS Specialist that excels in a fast-paced environment and can bring a world-class continuous improvement safety mindset to the team.
Salary Range:
$75,000 to $90,000 - depending on experience.

Essential Duties And Tasks
Design and implement safety and environmental policies and procedures including written programs, records, reports, inspections, monitoring, testing, and training.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations by staying informed about changes, interpreting requirements, and implementing necessary adjustments to programs, processes, and policies.
Facilitate EHS training programs for employees at all levels to ensure knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Conduct and document regular EHS audits and inspections to assure compliance with permits, regulations, and requirements.
Coordinate visits from internal and external regulatory authorities and file annual environmental reports (e.g., local, state, federal as applicable).
Direct and support the site safety committee with inspections, addressing non-compliance, and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
Manage workers compensation cases and EHS programs, including cost control, accident prevention, safety behavior audits, and risk assessments.
Develop handling, storage, and disposal protocols for hazardous materials, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Maintain a culture of continuous improvement in EHS performance by evaluating programs and coordinating an improvement plan with site managers.
Develop safety strategies to prevent accidents or health hazards by analyzing safety history, processes, equipment, and exposures.
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education And Experience
BS required in a related field
Certifications: CHMM, ASP/CSP, CIH preferred
3-6 years' experience in a related field
Subject matter expert in a particular field
Knowledge of Tier II, SPCC, Air Regulations, Stormwater, Spill Planning, Hazardous / Special Wastes, Universal Waste, Machine Guarding, LOTO, Risk Management / Assessments, Root Cause Analysis
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, Outlook
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and presentations) with leadership, staff, and stakeholders
Proactive with sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
Self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment
