Overview The Department of Urology at Stanford University seeks a urologic oncologist to join the Department as Assistant Professor in the University Medical Line. We are particularly interested in candidates who possess outstanding surgical skills in both open and robotic surgery, and who will pursue scholarship in basic, translational, or clinical sciences.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical care in urologic oncology with excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, scholarly activity, and institutional service as required by the program.

Engage in teaching and serve as an integral member of our training programs. Demonstrate potential to achieve regional recognition for excellence in contributions.

Develop a robust research program with the goal of attaining national recognition and independent extramural funding. Build a track record of innovative peer‑reviewed publications and extramural career development.

Qualifications

Board‑certified or board‑eligible with an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) and fellowship training in urologic oncology.

Demonstrated or demonstrated potential for excellence in clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity; commitment to teaching if formal experience is lacking, with potential to meet or exceed standards.

Compensation and Benefits The expected base pay range for this position is:

Assistant Professor: $368,000 - $395,000

This pay range reflects base pay and varies with faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive programs.
