The EHS Manager leads safety initiatives at the Client site. This role drives a behavior-based safety culture, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports continuous improvement. The manager assists in building a strong safety culture, standardizing safety practices, and serves as a strategic partner to leadership. Responsibilities
Safety Leadership: Develop and improve safety programs, policies, and procedures; Standardize protocols across facilities; Conduct risk assessments and audits Team Management: Recruit, train, and lead staff related to Safety; Set performance metrics and drive accountability; Promote a collaborative, results-driven culture Compliance & Incident Response: Ensure adherence to OSHA, FDA, USDA, EPA and other regulations; Investigate incidents and develop Corrective Actions and implement preventive measures; Report safety data to leadership Training & Engagement: Support site-specific safety training; Promote proactive hazard identification and safe behaviors; Lead safety committees and improvement initiatives Emergency Preparedness: Develop site-specific emergency plans; Support and participate in site specific drills and crisis training Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related field CSP, ASP or other credentials preferred 5-10 years experience in manufacturing with focus on FDA regulated production Strong analytical and investigative skills Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Willing to travel 5-10% Strong collaboration skills Benefits
