Overview

The Division of Hematology, Oncology & Transplantation (HOT) and the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, seeks an Assistant/Associate or Full Professor medical hematologist/oncologist with training and experience in Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy. The candidate will have translational research experience and clinical expertise in blood and marrow transplantation, as well as independently obtained research funding. The role emphasizes clinical research in blood and marrow transplantation, stem cell transplantation, and cellular therapy in a team-based academic environment. The selected individual will lead and supervise innovative research projects and clinical trials related to cancer treatment, and will participate in inpatient and outpatient clinical care of hematology/oncology patients, as well as teaching medical students and post-graduate trainees. The HOT Division collaborates with The Masonic Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota. The Center supports collaborative research focused on cancer causes, prevention, detection, and treatment, with the aim of improving quality of life for patients and survivors and sharing discoveries with scientists, students, professionals, and the community. Develop, implement, and supervise innovative research projects and clinical trials in cancer treatment. Lead and collaborate with research team members to support critical research goals. Participate in inpatient and outpatient clinical care of hematology/oncology patients. Teach medical students and post-graduate trainees. Qualifications

M.D. and Board Eligible or Certified in Medical Oncology. Demonstrated excellence in patient care. Demonstrated enthusiasm for medical education and strong teaching skills. Must have or be able to attain a medical license in the state of Minnesota. Must be able to pass credentialing at all applicable sites. Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from USCIS and maintain legal status for Visa category requirements. Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota is dependent upon academic effort and begins at $55,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
