Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist
to support and maintain safety at ASI. The EHS Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal safety policies and procedures. This role involves risk assessment, incident investigation, employee training, and continuous improvement initiatives to promote a safe and OSHA compliant workplace. The EHS Specialist will support and lead the company safety committee. Responsibilities
Implement, monitor, and improve safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations. Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and mitigate hazards. Investigate incidents and near-misses, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain safety records, data logs, and regulatory documentation. Develop and deliver EHS training for employees, including onboarding, hazard communication, and emergency response. Participate in or lead safety committees and meetings. Support sustainability initiatives, waste management, and environmental reporting. Stay current on EHS regulations and best practices and communicate changes to the organization. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. 2 - 4 years of EHS experience Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proven talent for building rapport and fostering positive working relationships. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHMM, MSHA) are a plus. Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. Must be able to traverse entire facility and make visual inspections of safety practices and conditions. Seniority level
