The Department of Nursing emerges from the challenge to meet the manpower needs for quality health care locally, nationally and globally. The department provides essential service to improve the quality of life through quality educational programs, research, scholarly endeavors, and community service. Primary Purpose of Position

The Clinical Assistant Professor will teach nursing courses and develop instructional material related to the area assigned. They will evaluate student clinical performance according to established criteria and course objectives, advise students on curricula, provide formal and informal instruction, counsel students, engage in original work or research, prepare new courses, and serve on campus and community committees. Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Commitment to diversity and inclusion in fulfillment of the university’s mission; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; excellent analytical skills and reasoned judgment; ability to work independently and collaboratively; at least three years of clinical experience in pediatrics nursing; at least three years of teaching experience in pediatrics nursing. Minimum Education/Experience

MSN – required. DNP – required. Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner – preferred Licenses or Certification required by Statute or Regulation

Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of a high quality curriculum Service to the department, college, and university. Maintain clinical practice if hold practice doctorate, such as NP. Service to the community and/or profession is an expectation.
