This position is represented by the Anchorage Municipal Employee Association (AMEA) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the AMEA.

Hours vary; Monday through Sunday; 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. LOCATION:
Kincaid Outdoor Center To be considered for employment, applicants must be legally authorized to work and accept employment in the United States. The Municipality of Anchorage is not able to provide any type of sponsorship, including Student Visas and Employment Visas, under any circumstances. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent One year experience in the program or activity under consideration. Prior experience in the use of recreational equipment is required. All Applicants Must Possess Or Obtain: American Red Cross First Aid Certification, and American Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or equivalent at time of hire. A valid State of Alaska Driver's License with an acceptable driving record at time of hire. Preference will be given to returning Seasonal Employees who are eligible for Recall, and to any Anchorage Municipal Employees Association (AMEA) employees. AMEA employees who are successful in the screening process will be forwarded to the department for consideration prior to any non-AMEA applicants. If selected for hire, the applicant must be capable of frequently bending, twisting, and kneeling. Applicant must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds and work outdoors in inclement weather. Conditional upon submission of current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR Certifications or the equivalent, and a current Alaska driver's license with a recent driving record. Appointment is also conditional upon satisfactory completion of a national criminal background investigation and a Municipal Employment Office background check, including fingerprinting with a fee of $47.00 plus variable fingerprinting costs.
