Overview
Join to apply for the Early Career, Water/Wastewater Engineer role at WSP in the U.S. The primary focus of the position is project work for the development of engineering studies, design reports, construction documents, and construction oversight/administration related to water and wastewater infrastructure in the municipal and industrial markets in Texas and across the country. Responsibilities
Work under the mentorship and guidance of Senior Engineers. Provide basic engineering services in support of planning, studies, analysis, and design of water distribution and wastewater collection systems, which may include pump/lift stations, groundwater wells, storage reservoirs, and treatment systems. Prepare plans for water distribution and wastewater collection systems, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports, determine appropriate design methods and equipment sizing/selection, under instruction from the Project Engineer. Set up and perform hydraulic modeling for water and wastewater systems. Work with CAD designers to prepare plans/drawings for water and wastewater infrastructure systems using industry-standard design platforms (AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit, OpenRoads Designer, etc.). CAD software experience is a plus. Check design computations and quantity estimates. Assist in client contacts pertaining to specific projects. Limited field work and regional travel to project sites may be required. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET-accredited program in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering. Engineer in Training Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hiring. 0 to 1+ years related and relevant experience. Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously. Advanced spreadsheet skills a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineering and non-engineering audiences. Team-oriented, hardworking, and committed to high-quality work. Responsible for engineering quality and project team success. Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites. Must pass background check. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, Revit, etc. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Prior internship related to the degree and engineering discipline. About WSP
