Hearst Connecticut Media Group (HCMG) is recruiting an Account Executive to join the advertising team. The role involves developing and managing a sales pipeline, building new business relationships with franchises, and delivering advertising solutions that meet client needs. The position supports collaboration across departments to meet performance and process expectations, with a hybrid work week. Responsibilities

Lead Generation: Prospect local medium to large sized businesses to demonstrate the value of our digital media products (Native content, social media, display, CTV/OTT, programmatic, SEO/SEM) and traditional advertising. Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and prospecting; own the sales cycle with support from the local Customer Success team post-sale. Product Expertise: Become an expert on digital and traditional products/services. Complete global and local training within the first three weeks and engage in ongoing continual learning and training to grow as an Account Executive. Execute Sales Tactics: Implement marketing strategies and deliver compelling sales presentations to earn, retain, and increase revenue. Advertising Solutions: Create engaging advertising solutions that address clients’ business needs. Client Solutions: Recommend new products and promotional opportunities to current clients; handle objections and support local businesses across multiple digital channels. Forecasting: Manage client pipeline and monthly revenue forecast in Salesforce. What will it take to be successful?

Education: BA/BS in Advertising, Marketing, or Communications or equivalent experience. Experience: 4+ years of B2B sales in advertising and media with a proven track record of revenue achievement; ability to navigate decision-making processes; success in new business acquisition; strategic selling and multi-threading within organizations and agencies. Skills: Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills; technical proficiency with Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint. Mindset: Goal-oriented, competitive, and financially minded.
