Base pay range
$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Senior Staff Accountant Frisco, TX - 1 day onsite per week One of Vaco's publicly-traded clients north of $1B in revenue is looking to add to the team due to growth to oversee the full cycle accounting for a portfolio of entities for one of their regions. High-volume, multi-unit experience preferred (healthcare, hospitality, real estate, etc.) as well as experience with monthly variance analysis. Definitely opportunities for growth for the right people (both Managers on the GL team have promoted continuously the last couple of years). Compensation: $70-80K. Key Responsibilities:
Manage the accounting functions for multiple business units, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each unit, consolidating results where applicable. Perform account reconciliations, variance analysis, and ensure the accuracy of unit-level financials. Monitor and analyze unit-level expenses, revenues, and profitability to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Support the monthly close process, ensuring timeliness and adherence to corporate deadlines. Partner with unit managers and operations teams to provide financial insights and guidance. Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant regulations. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for each unit. Support audits, both internal and external, by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries. Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline multi-unit accounting practices. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred. 3-5+ years of accounting experience, with prior responsibility for multi-unit or multi-entity environments (retail, hospitality, healthcare, or similar industry experience a plus). Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, Oracle, or similar ERP).
