Overview
We are Lockheed Martin This is an Individual Contributor position for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) Line of Business (LoB) Cyber Lead Engineer. The Integrated Fighter Group comprises F-22, F-16, T-50 platforms. This position resides in the IFG Line of Business Engineering and Technology organization. The IFG Cyber Lead Engineer reports to the IFG LoB Systems Engineering Segment Lead. The individual will be responsible for leading, integrating and managing the entire IFG Cyber contract work portfolio, involving collaboration with the Aeronautics Cyber Domain Excellence team and USG Customer counterparts. What You Will Be Doing Responsibilities will include oversight and execution of cyber security requirements across the entire IFG portfolio, cyber boundaries, and the full life cycle of each platform program (development, modernization, production and sustainment). The Cyber Lead will have technical responsibility for complete product life cycle performance and will interface with end-users and customer counterparts concerning cyber design, development, integration, configuration and sustainment of products. The Cyber Lead will support/coordinate the execution of cyber risk analysis and security assessment methods; interpret Security Classification Guide (SCG) guidance, implement patches and STIGs to address cyber vulnerabilities, feature changes, or obsolescence; develop documentation for installations and configurations necessary to obtain Authorizations to Operate (ATO) in support of program schedules; and contribute to and implement Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) to mitigate open cyber risks. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with varied audiences and work with the IFG engineering team to establish contract goals, plan tasks, and prioritize work for efficient execution. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and security requirement implementation Experience leading engineering teams. Project management experience. Experience reviewing and evaluating Basis of Estimates for technical accuracy and completeness across the Cyber Engineering, Design, Crypto and TEMPEST teams Experience working in an aerospace design environment (e.g. F-22 Program) with exposure to DoD customers and their accrediting authorities. Experience analyzing, decomposing, and allocating security controls into executable security requirements at the system, sub-system and component level Experience developing security architecture representations (e.g. Accreditation Boundaries, Physical Diagrams, Logical Diagrams, Functional Diagrams), system design modeling (UML, SysML, Rhapsody, Cameo), and requirements management Experience with Implementing the NIST RMF and NIST SP 800-53 controls, specifically related to JSIG Skilled in reverse engineering and vulnerability research to uncover hidden or advanced threats. Familiar with tools and techniques for static and dynamic code analysis. Effective at documenting findings and communicating risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Skilled in firmware analysis and vulnerability detection. Familiarity with generating Basis of Estimates (BoEs). Proficient in translating high-level security objectives into actionable, testable requirements for contract scope coverage and delivery. Understanding of industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and emerging threats to inform secure design and implementation. Experience leading independent research initiatives to identify and address evolving application security challenges. Innovative mindset with ability to prototype and implement advanced security solutions. Strong collaboration skills with engineering and product teams to embed modern security practices into development workflows. Proven ability to mentor and train technical staff; recognized as a subject matter expert fostering continuous learning and security excellence. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule: 4x10 hour days, 3 days off per week. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day week to condensed schedules. Benefits and Pay
Pay ranges vary by location. This position is incentive plan eligible. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) match, and more.
