Postdoctoral Scientist - Yoon Lab

Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation
is a full-time research position in the Aging and Metabolism Research Program. The Yoon lab focuses on the discovery of new genetic/neurological diseases and their pathogenic mechanisms, implementing an experimental pipeline that leverages clinical data, genomics analysis, and studies using Drosophila models and patient-derived stem cell models. Responsibilities
Conduct and contribute to research projects exploring genetic and neurological diseases using human iPSC biology, cortical organoid models, and related systems. Work with a pipeline that integrates clinical data, genomics analysis, and model systems to study disease mechanisms. Publish high-impact findings and contribute to the scientific literature on Mendelian mitochondrial diseases and related disorders. Collaborate with team members to develop and test hypotheses and contribute to project goals within the Yoon Lab. Qualifications
Ph.D. in a biological science, psychology, chemistry, physics or other relevant area, M.D., or equivalent. Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work independently with a high degree of skill and also to request help specifically from the lab head when needed. Demonstrated ethical behavior at all times. High level of scientific rigor. Detail-oriented. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Special Instructions
