Ryan Fireprotection is looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our Accounting team. This role is focused primarily on daily cash application, ensuring customer payments are applied accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, an accounting or financial background, and thrives in an independent, low-stress environment where accuracy and consistency are key. Responsibilities
Apply customer payments daily, ensuring all deposits are recorded and reconciled. Process multiple types of payments, including ACH/EFTs, lockbox, credit card, checks, and cash. Follow up with customers regarding payment issues as needed. Set up new customers, vendors, and jobs in the system. Maintain accurate data entry and transaction records. Support ongoing process improvements, including increasing ACH adoption. Qualifications
Accounting background with cash application experience. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Analytical problem solver with the ability to work independently. Proficient in Excel and comfortable with high-volume data entry. Familiarity with various payment methods (ACH, EFT, credit card, checks, cash). Self-starter who can manage tasks without close supervision.
