Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations for Faith Presbyterian Church, ensuring accurate reporting, sound internal controls, and clear stewardship of resources. Partner with ministry leaders to build budgets, track expenses, and provide actionable insights that support the mission. Responsibilities

Manage general ledger, monthly close, reconciliations, AP/AR, and payroll. Prepare financial statements, dashboards, and variance analyses for leadership and session/board. Lead annual budget process; monitor departmental spend and restricted funds. Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with GAAP and nonprofit standards. Coordinate annual review/audit and 990 preparation with external CPA. Oversee contribution processing, donor acknowledgments, and confidentiality practices. Administer purchasing, vendor management, and contract tracking. Support forecasting, cash flow management, and capital/project accounting. Train staff/volunteers on financial procedures and expense policy. Qualifications

5–7 years progressive accounting/finance experience; nonprofit or church setting preferred. Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPB a plus. Solid knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit fund accounting (restricted/unrestricted/designated funds). Experience with church/nonprofit accounting systems (e.g., ACS, Shelby, Pushpay/ChurchStaq, QuickBooks). Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets (lookups, pivots) and report building. Clear communicator who can translate financials for non-finance audiences; high integrity and discretion. Work Environment & Values
