Job Responsibilities
Oversee all day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate financial reporting. Maintain the Chart of Accounts and general ledger, updating codes as contracts change. Review bi-weekly payroll and ensure accurate agency allocations before system entry. Manage financial and grant accounting to align expenditures with program budgets. Prepare monthly variance analysis and profit and loss statements to support decision-making.
Requirements
Maintain internal controls for receipts, expenditures, and client-related accounts. Enforce compliance with accounting policies, funding terms, and regulatory guidance. Support audits and prepare schedules for financial and tax reporting. Oversee accounts payable, procurement, reimbursements, and daily cash receipts. Collaborate with compliance teams on government audits and monitoring activities.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit or grant accounting practices. Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Communicate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders. Show experience with QuickBooks, ADP, and financial reporting systems.
