Overview
Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking a Mergers and Acquisitions Associate with four to six years of experience to join the Anchorage office. This associate will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate restructurings, strategic partnerships, financing and complex lending transactions, cross-border transactions and private equity investments, as well as researching and analyzing transactional situations. This associate will work on general corporate matters, including general contract review and corporate governance. Responsibilities
Work on a wide variety of corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, strategic partnerships, financing, cross-border and private equity matters. Research and analyze transactional situations and advise clients. Handle general corporate matters including contract review and corporate governance. Qualifications
JD from an ABA-accredited law school; four to six years of corporate experience with substantial M&A. Experience in the business/corporate group of a large law firm. Working knowledge of tax, employment and labor laws, environmental law, antitrust, intellectual property, corporate finance and commercial law, among other areas. Alaska bar admission or eligibility to be admitted in Alaska. Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage numerous projects under deadline pressure. Strong communication and writing skills for interactions with business staff, owners and executives, opposing counsel, and Dorsey staff. Excellent academic credentials. Finance and bankruptcy experience preferred. Interest in Alaska Native Corporations and/or tribal law, and municipal law is helpful. Benefits and About Dorsey
