Job Details
Compensation: Base pay $17.10 per hour plus tips. Actual compensation based on skills, experience, education or training, and location.
Work Schedule: 3pm–11pm shifts; flexibility required.
Benefits: Accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and eligibility for the company 401(k) plan. Benefits eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment and hours worked. Seasonal/temporary roles may not be eligible.
Summary of Responsibilities The Guest Service Associate provides exceptional hospitality services in a friendly and efficient manner. Primary duties include parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely, and assisting guests with luggage where applicable during arrival and departure. The role may involve delivering and picking up guest luggage and other related tasks as needed.
Essential Functions
Maintains a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests with a professional demeanor and uses guest last names when interacting.
Parks and retrieves vehicles in a safe, slow manner. Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage; opens vehicle and hotel doors as needed.
Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations; provides information about facilities and local attractions. Delivers messages, items and guest amenities as requested. Shuttles guests to approved locations.
Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; issues claim checks only after receiving keys and collects claim checks prior to issuing keys. Maintains ticket information, key tags, guest folios, and vehicle locations in the valet system. Calculates and collects revenue when needed.
Performs all listed tasks as part of the total job duties as applicable.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Licensure/Certifications: Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within a commutable distance.
Experience: One (1) month related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and Skills: Customer service principles, ability to read/write in English, basic math (including handling money), ability to understand 24-hour and military time, and basic parking/vehicle operations instruction. Ability to operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking is highly desirable.
