Assist the public and enforce laws, including arrests and court participation.
Ensure vehicle and equipment maintenance.
Report hazards and safety concerns.
Conduct building and grounds checks.
Provide first aid when qualified.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have an associates or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field, or equivalent training and experience, including certification as a Law Enforcement Officer through POST-C, and other specific certifications. Valid driver’s license and Massachusetts License to Carry a Firearm are required. Ability to pass physical and medical exams, and demonstrate effective communication skills, professionalism, and emotional stability are essential.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Exposure to outdoor weather, extended driving, physical activities, and the need for physical confrontations are expected. The role requires physical fitness, dexterity, and the ability to operate emergency equipment.
