Director of Hispanic Ministry role at the Diocese of Green Bay. Primary Responsibilities

The Hispanic Director is responsible for implementing a discipleship-oriented vision and pastoral plan for Hispanic Ministry within diocesan offices, parishes, schools, and communities. The Hispanic Director is also responsible for providing leadership, direction, and coordination of the Hispanic Ministry Formation Program. Incorporates the priorities identified in the “Final Report on the Diocesan Encuentro” and aligns the implementation of the Encuentro process with diocesan and parish leadership. This position works to adapt materials, training, and formation seminars to ensure effective enculturation for Hispanic audiences. Provides consultation on how to improve engagement and impact with Hispanic families. Works collaboratively to assess cultural and familial needs and identify and implement best practices to ensure Hispanic people are effectively served in full alignment with the vision and mission of the Diocese of Green Bay. Evaluates, establishes partnerships, and provides consultation to existing Hispanic diocesan recognized Catholic apostolates operating in the Diocese of Green Bay including the Hispanic Charismatic Movement. Minimum Knowledge, Experience And Skills Required “Embrace the mission and vision of the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay and work in accordance with Catholic Teachings and the moral and ethical values of the Catholic Church.” Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Religious Studies, related field of study, or equivalent work experience is required. Bi-lingual in Spanish and English. Knowledge of Diocesan & Parish Structures/Procedures. Must have comprehensive knowledge of Catholic teachings and be a practicing Catholic. Knowledge and experience with leadership, discipleship, and ministry formation. Knowledge of the Hispanic culture. Strategic Planning and tactical action planning experience. Consultation and conflict resolution skills. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and have high integrity. Managerial skills, to include organizational, supervisory, and performance management. Able to build collaborative work relationships and trust. Ability to influence leaders and build relationships of trust across Hispanic culture. Able to create paradigm shifts for evangelization and discipleship within others. Time management skills. Program Planning/Development skills. Strong abilities in Microsoft Office Programs. Ability to gather and evaluate complex data and arrive at reasonable independent ministry decisions. Valid Driver’s License. Preferred
