Budgeting & Forecasting ·Develop annual budgets in collaboration with project managers and leadership. ·Provide ongoing forecasting, variance analysis, and cost-to-complete reporting. ·Support strategic planning with financial modeling and scenario analysis. Job Costing & Project Support ·Maintain systems for accurate job costing and contract accounting. ·Partner with project managers to review project budgets, profitability, and change orders. ·Ensure compliance with contractual billing terms, lien waivers, and collections. Internal Controls & Compliance ·Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. ·Oversee bonding, insurance, and licensing requirements for projects. ·Manage risk through compliance with industry standards and contractual obligations. Leadership & Team Management ·Supervise and develop accounting staff. ·Collaborate with operations leadership to align financial strategies with business goals. ·Present financial results and insights to ownership and senior management. Qualifications ·Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred. ·5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in construction, contracting, or mechanical trades. ·Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting. ·Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ComputerEase, Viewpoint, Sage 300 CRE, Foundation, or equivalent). ·Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ·Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced contracting environment.
