Accounting Advisory Manager Overview

As an Accounting Advisory Manager, you will lead teams that consult with clients on complex accounting transactions. You will help clients address transactional, regulatory, and strategic needs with the resources, environment, and support to excel. This includes complex accounting matters arising from regulatory or strategic changes such as adoption of new accounting standards, accounting framework conversions, IPO or other public offering assistance, and on-call accounting advice. You’ll build relationships with clients and project teams, engaging client stakeholders to identify, assess, and deliver substantiated advice. From day one, you’ll be empowered by the CFO Advisory team to help clients move toward their vision and help you achieve more, confidently. Your day-to-day may include

Leading multiple engagements and consulting on complex accounting transactions Consulting on technical accounting matters including adoption of new accounting standards, preparing technical accounting positions, and providing support around transaction audit reviews Providing transaction accounting support for business combinations, carve-outs, and initial public offerings Preparing financial statements and SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and pro-forma financial views Assisting clients in readiness for first-time audits or providing audit readiness support Providing on-call accounting assistance Ensuring work is performed timely, with quality, and in compliance with regulatory requirements Identifying market trends to proactively advise clients and colleagues Training and supervising less experienced colleagues with consistent feedback Working on-site at client locations, in-office, or remotely with flexible work options Representing the company at recruiting and professional networking events Building technical and professional skills through formal training Other duties as assigned Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related disciplines required; Master’s degree is a plus Minimum 5 years of experience in financial statement audits, accounting advisory services, or corporate accounting/finance center of excellence focusing on complex accounting transactions Active CPA license required Working knowledge of accounting standards including ASC 606 and ASC 842; experience with complex debt, equity, and employee compensation topics; audit readiness; IPO processes or other capital transactions; acquisitions, carve-outs, or spin-offs; GAAP conversations; financial instruments Analytical and technical skills including proficiency in US GAAP, SEC reporting rules, and mergers and acquisitions services Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities Strong teamwork, agility, and relationship-building skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to travel as needed (up to 30%) The base salary range for this position in New York is $121,000 to $181,400. The base salary range for this position in Chicago is $112,000 to $168,000. About Us
