Summary:

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with an Engineer Intern (EI) certification to gain hands-on experience in traffic studies, data analysis, and traffic engineering. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of projects, contributing to real-world solutions that impact communities.

General Responsibilities:

Assist in conducting traffic impact studies, signal warrant analyses, and corridor evaluations. Collect, process, and analyze traffic data including volume counts, speed studies, and crash data. Support the development of traffic models using tools such as Synchro, HCS, and VISSIM. Prepare technical reports, figures, and presentations for clients and stakeholders. Conduct field visits and site assessments as needed. Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to support project delivery.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field. Engineer Intern (EI) certification required or in progress.

Required Experience:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with traffic engineering principles and software (coursework or internship experience is a plus). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic GIS tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and grow in a fast-paced consulting environment. Ability to build strong relationships

Preferred Experience:

Internship or academic project experience involving FDOT standards or Florida-based transportation projects. Exposure to FDOT’s Traffic Engineering Manual (TEM) or Plans Preparation Manual (PPM) is a plus.
