A residential-multifamily real estate development and property management group in Orlando, FL, is looking to add a Senior Property Accountant to its team. This is a permanent, full-time position with a hybrid work schedule (not remote).

Responsibilities
Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including the preparation and review of financial statements and reports.
Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of property-level financial results.
Manage all aspects of accounting for multifamily, apartments, units, and mixed-use properties, including revenue recognition, expense allocation, and capitalization of property improvements.
Prepare and review budget and forecast reports, providing variance analysis and commentary to senior management.
Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audit and tax processes.
Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in property accounting, preferably within the engineering sector.
Extensive experience in year-end close processes, including the preparation and review of financial statements and reports.
Strong knowledge of accounting for multifamily, apartments, units, and mixed-use properties.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
CPA designation is preferred.
