The Director of Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable oversees the end-to-end AP and AR processes for the CooperCompanies North America legal entities. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of payments and collections, maintains strong internal controls, drives process improvements, supports strategic initiatives, and leads the strategy for purchase order management, invoice-to-pay and credit-to-cash processes while collaborating cross-functionally to optimize working capital, vendor relationships, and customer experience. Job Summary

The Director of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable will develop and execute strategies to optimize AP and AR processes, cash flow and working capital; align AP and AR operations with Controllership and business goals; and drive process standardization. The selected candidate will ensure timely, accurate, and complete AP/AR transactions and data, proper aging maintenance, ongoing development of AP/AR processes, and provide guidance and support to the business and leadership. Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Develop and implement policies, procedures and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness and compliance. Lead and manage AP and AR teams, including hiring, training, performance management, coaching and mentoring. Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement based on data and SLAs/KPIs. Develop, monitor and improve KPIs, SLAs, metrics and dashboards with the business. Lead initiatives to optimize, streamline, improve and automate processes, including evaluating and developing digital solutions and ensuring team readiness to adopt technology. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers to ensure efficient payment and collection cycles. Negotiate payment terms and resolve disputes with key customers and vendors. Support procurement, sales and business units with financial insights and process coordination. Prepare and present reports, analyses and recommendations for senior leadership decision-making with actionable data. Lead strategic projects and initiatives to enhance reporting and analytics. Analyze trends and identify opportunities for cost savings, working capital and cash flow improvements. Collaborate with Treasury, Procurement, Sales and Finance to align processes and financial operations. Ensure compliance with SOX, GAAP, and other regulatory requirements. Travel

Some travel may be required; up to 10%. Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience. 10+ years of progressive AR/AP and financial operations experience within a large international organization. 10+ years in leadership roles, including 5+ years managing large AR and AP departments. Proven success in process improvement, automation, and change management. Experience leading and managing cross-functional projects. Familiarity with Global Business Services operating models. Strong understanding of accounting principles and SOX compliance. Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills; strong leadership presence with the ability to energize large teams. Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights; advanced data analytics capabilities; comfortable with high-volume, multi-source data. Highly organized with a track record of delivering projects to completion. Customer- and vendor-centric mindset; experience in people management and team development. Ability to analyze financial statements and make sound credit decisions. Knowledge of accounting standards, commercial law, bankruptcy regulations, UCC filings, and PCI compliance; ability to interpret credit reports and assess financial risk. Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed environments. Work Environment

Normal office environment. Onsite, 5 days a week in office. Sedentary to light physical effort; frequent computer use.
