Nanopath is a well-funded Series A-stage company working to develop a first-in-class in vitro diagnostics platform to revolutionize the way we diagnose disease. About the Role
Independently design and execute experiments for development of Nanopath’s proprietary assay
Perform advanced data analysis and protocol optimization
Develop experimental protocols, lead small projects, and write technical reports
Iterate assay design through benchtop study to improve sensitivity & specificity
Characterize samples using molecular biology techniques
Culture and quantify a range of microorganisms
Present data to management team
Technical Qualifications
Experience working in a BSL-2 laboratory environment and with sterile technique
Comfortable handling & processing a range of human biofluid samples
Deep understanding of bacteriology and microorganisms
Deep understanding of molecular biology and experience with molecular biology techniques
Familiarity with bacterial culture, PCR, and basic wet laboratory techniques
Robust understanding of scientific method and experience in design-of-experiments
General Qualifications
Able to commit to full-time and onsite work in Cambridge, MA
B.S. in Biological Sciences/Engineering plus 2-3 years industry experience or M.S. in Biological Sciences/Engineering plus 1-2 years industry experience
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Highly organized with demonstrated curiosity, scientific rigor and creative problem-solving
Proactive self-starter with enthusiasm to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
Passion for technology translation and willingness to shape Nanopath’s future
