July 2019 Primary Purpose
Support effective implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEP) for students with disabilities Provide behavior analytic services for students receiving educational services Offer district-wide support and professional learning regarding behavior intervention techniques to staff and parents Collaborate on assessments and development of plans adhering to IDEA, Texas Education Code, and other regulations Qualifications
Master’s degree in Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field (Required) Valid Texas Educator Certificate (Required) Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification or must be fully certified within 1 year from hire Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred Experience in special education assessment preferred Three years of experience in adolescent behavior management or related field Skills and Responsibilities
Operate computer and district applications Establish rapport and collaborate with team members Evaluate program effectiveness and compliance Work with students with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges Develop and facilitate training for adult learners Maintain organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Participate in ARD/IEP processes, conduct FBAs, and develop BIPs Program Management
Assess and develop ABA interventions Assist staff in identifying student strengths and weaknesses Design and implement behavioral programming and assessments Collaborate on functional behavior assessments and plans Collect data and monitor progress Support classroom management systems Work with families and staff to meet IEP goals Training and Development
Train staff on new methodologies and interventions Develop and deliver professional learning materials Support continuum of services and evaluate interventions Collaborate on program goals and community engagement Additional Duties
Ensure safety and compliance with regulations Maintain reports and records Participate in professional development Travel as needed for consultation and training Mental and Physical Demands
