Position Overview The Veterinary Technology, Adjunct Instructor teaches courses in the lecture, laboratory and/or clinical setting.
Responsibilities
Provides instruction in Veterinary Technology courses
Evaluates and advises students
Develops curricula
Recruits students
Serves on committees
Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed
Master’s degree in any field and a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from an American Veterinary Medical Association Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (AVMA CVTEA) accredited program; and Valid national Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification from the American Association of Veterinary State Boards (AAVSB) or State of Florida Veterinary Technician licensure; and 3 years of full-time work and/or instructional experience in field
All degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions
Must possess excellent communication skills
Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off-campus offering sites
Must possess basic computer skills
