The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, supporting audits, and providing analysis to aid in decision-making. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within the finance team. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals and prepayments. Support internal and external audits by providing schedules, documentation, and explanations. Review and analyze financial results, identifying variances and trends. Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures. Assist in overseeing accounts payable processes as needed. Support tax filings, compliance requirements, and regulatory reporting. Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex transactions. Participate in system enhancements, process improvements, and special projects. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting. Strong knowledge of GAAP Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Acumatica). Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial analysis tools. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Attributes
