As our General Ledger Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financials, supporting SEC reporting, and ensuring audit readiness. Your background in publicly traded company accounting and inventory management will bring the rigor needed to meet strict regulatory standards while keeping our financial reporting transparent and reliable.

You’ll directly contribute to timely closes, SEC filing support, and accurate inventory reporting – providing leadership and external auditors with confidence in every number.

What You’ll Do Every Day

Manage end‑to‑end revenue recognition for multiple revenue streams, including product sales, shipping/handling, promotions/discounts, and returns.

Collaborate with e‑commerce operations, merchant processors, and inventory teams to ensure accurate cut‑off, deferred revenue, and chargeback recognition.

Prepare journal entries for accruals, adjustments, reclassifications, and inventory transactions.

Perform monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close activities, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.

Assist with SEC reporting support, including schedules and workpapers for quarterly (10‑Q) and annual (10‑K) filings.

Partner with external auditors, providing audit‑ready schedules, inventory documentation, and reconciliations.

Collaborate with AP, AR, Payroll, and Inventory teams to ensure accurate transaction coding and reporting.

Maintain fixed‑asset schedules, depreciation entries, and related reconciliations.

Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen reporting accuracy and accelerate close timelines.

What You Bring

Accounting Degree (CPA strongly preferred, CPA eligible a plus).

5–7 years of progressive public company or Big 4 public accounting experience.

Hands‑on experience with inventory accounting, reconciliations, and valuation in a high‑volume environment.

Solid knowledge of GAAP, inventory accounting in a retail/e‑commerce environment, SOX compliance, and tight corporate month‑end close processes.

Experience with e‑commerce revenue flows, merchant processors, and chargeback accounting.

ERP experience (Oracle, NetSuite, Acumatica, or similar).

Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with the ability to manage and reconcile large data sets.

Strong attention to detail, accountability, and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Bonus if you have

Experience in eCommerce, retail, or other inventory‑driven businesses.

Experience with sales tax compliance and e‑commerce payment flows.
