What You’ll Do

Facilitates the monthly close process by preparing and reviewing journal entries for accuracy and completeness of applicable income statement and balance sheet line items

Conducts monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

Reviews and analyzes financial statements, monthly for accuracy and completeness by reviewing general ledger details

Raises issues with potential solutions if discrepancies are encountered

Contributes to audit deliverables and audit deadlines

Conducts regular ledger maintenance

Makes recommendations on process improvement or expense management based on review of P&L and balance sheet activities

Records and reviews journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness

Trains and mentors team members

Performs variance analyses and prepares account reconciliations

Documents and monitors internal controls in support of auditing team

Coordinates more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team

Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required

CPA preferred

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting required, 6 years preferred

Minimum of 1 year of experience with accounting software and general ledger systems

Advanced knowledge of Excel

Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with internal customers and coworkers
