We are seeking a

Senior Accountant

to join our growing team. The Senior Accountant will be involved in the day-to-day accounting function by performing hands-on monthly close duties and completing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations. This role will also perform P&L and Balance Sheet analytics.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the monthly close process by preparing and reviewing journal entries for accuracy and completeness of applicable income statement and balance sheet line items

Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

Review and analyze financial statements monthly for accuracy and completeness by reviewing general ledger details

Raise issues with potential solutions if discrepancies are encountered

Contribute to audit deliverables and audit deadlines

Conduct regular ledger maintenance

Make recommendations on process improvement or expense management based on review of P&L and balance sheet activities

Record and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness

Train and mentor team members

Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations

Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team

Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team

Assist with troubleshooting and optimizing accounting processes

Prerequisites For Success

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required

CPA preferred

Three (3) years of experience in accounting required

Three (3) years of experience with accounting software and general ledger systems required

Advanced knowledge of Excel required
