Senior Corporate Accountant | Investment Manager
— Dallas, TX (Hybrid) Investment Industry experience, not required. Company Overview: A global alternative investment manager with more than $19 billion in AUM is seeking a Senior Accountant to support its real estate investment platform. This is a multi-strategy firm expanding across all departments due to a recent large investment in the firm. Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for corporate accounting functions, consolidations, and treasury-related activities within the real estate platform. This role will work closely with the Controller, CFO, asset management team, and third-party accounting providers to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Responsibilities
Ensure new investments and funds are set up correctly in the accounting system and communicate business updates across the team. Review and approve cash entries and bank reconciliations, including account setup for new entities. Prepare journal entries including accruals, reversals, allocations, eliminations, and amortization. Perform quarterly consolidations and elimination entries, including special allocations. Manage cash flow to fund expenses and investments; prepare capital calls. Prepare quarterly distributions, balance sheet reconciliations, and 1099 filings. Support the quarterly close process and assist with automation initiatives. Become a NetSuite SME. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 3–5+ years of relevant corporate accounting or auditing experience Real Estate Industry experience is NOT REQUIRED CPA license preferred, but not required Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and able to work effectively in a team environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Beyond the Responsibilities
Exposure to CFO on a weekly basis. Exposure to Executive Team on a daily basis. Opportunity to own critical projects. Growth to Accounting Manager Work with a strong team of former public CPAs Additional Details
