Harley-Davidson is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to support day-to-day tax compliance functions for U.S. and international tax components. The role involves maintaining tax systems for the tax compliance and reporting process, assisting in tax projects, partnering with businesses on transformation initiatives, and performing value-added activities within the Corporate Tax Team. Harley-Davidson was founded in 1903 and remains headquartered in Milwaukee. The Corporate Campus includes a 4.8-acre public park open to all. Job Responsibilities
Tax Provision:
Prepare US taxable income calculations, global tax provisions, balance sheet rollforward schedules, non-US income tax return review, return-to-provision calculations, tax footnote preparation, and income inclusion calculations. Analyze tax accounts and assist with budgeting/forecasting, intercompany pricing, and transfer pricing reports, and monitoring files. Create workpapers and document procedures across all areas of income tax. Tax Compliance:
Prepare annual state, federal, and US income tax returns (Forms 5471) for international affiliates. Review international corporate income tax returns, coordinate data with service providers, review transfer pricing reports, and support tax management by leading or scheduling calls with local service providers and finance teams. Prepare journal entries, research tax payments, and respond to tax authority correspondence. Prepare international reporting for BEA, W-8 BEN-E forms, and residency certificates. Tax Research & Support:
Perform tax research, support audits, maintain tax systems and audit-ready workpapers, assist with SOX tax controls, support tax functional needs, and continuously improve processes related to tax provision, compliance, and reporting. Cross-Functional Interaction:
Interact across all levels of the organization and leverage CorpTax, VantagePoint Solutions, SAP General Ledger, Microsoft Office, and other tax technology tools. Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Required (in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field) Advanced degree in Taxation (MS Taxation) or Law degree is a plus Experience Requirements
Required:
Typically 3 years of related experience; strong business, communication, organization, and analytical skills; ability to gather and organize data from multiple sources and use tax software to prepare returns and provisions; ability to communicate conclusions effectively; detail-oriented with ability to multi-task; self-starter capable of driving projects with limited supervision. Preferred:
Familiarity with CorpTax Compliance/Provision, Alteryx, SAP consolidation and reporting; experience in global motorcycle market or similar consumer industry; international experience preferred. Company Information & Diversity
