Accounts Payable Specialist

Southlake, TX ! Reporting to the

Senior Accounting Specialist , this role ensures the

timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices , compliance with internal policies and accounting standards, and supports the overall financial operations of the organization. Please Note:

in Southlake, TX. Responsibilities:

Review, verify, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting or procurement system, ensuring accuracy and timely payment processing. Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper authorization and accuracy, preventing overpayment or duplicate payments, and ensuring internal controls. Assist the Senior Accounting Specialist in resolving vendor discrepancies, reducing aged payable, and minimizing disputes. Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and documentation to support audit readiness and compliance. Assist with month-end closing tasks by ensuring timely and accurate entry of payables. Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoice and payment status, fostering transparency and stakeholder trust. Ensure compliance with internal policies, IRS regulations, and GAAP standards to minimize risks and uphold accounting practices. Support audits by preparing and providing necessary documentation for a smooth process. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. 2–3 years of accounts payable experience or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with accounting systems, QuickBooks preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and vendor relationship abilities. Compensation:

$45,000 - $65,000 yearly
