Your Role on the Team

Within the Budget and Finance work group for the Division of Finance and Administration, this position administers and monitors financial processes for various departments. The role provides budget forecasts and resource projections based on ongoing financial analysis, and regularly reviews ledger data and transaction activity to ensure accuracy and compliance. The analyst applies advanced knowledge of financial principles and university accounting standards to resolve a range of operational and financial issues, both practical and strategic. The role requires clear communication and professional collaboration with internal staff and external partners. What It Takes to be Successful

Required: Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems. Ability to independently gather required information to organize and perform financial analysis assignments. Proven ability to present information verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. Proven ability using spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports. Strong interpersonal skills, service orientation, critical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and function as a member of a team. Thorough knowledge of fund accounting, internal control practices, and their impact on protecting University resources. Ability to coordinate and compile information from multiple sources, analyze complex data, and summarize financial reports for higher-level management. Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and set priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office. Effective oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training. 3-5 years of financial budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting within a complex organization. Preferred: Knowledge of campus, University, State, and Federal financial policies and procedures. Advanced knowledge and experience using the campus Data Warehouse for research and reporting. Ability to read and understand complex policy and apply it. Knowledge of Kuali Financial System. Special Conditions

Hybrid schedule includes both on-site and remote work days. Ability to work beyond the normal M to F, 8am to 5pm during busier periods for special projects. Total Compensation
