Compensation Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Additional compensation types: Annual Bonus and Commission

Annual Salary + Bonus: $90,000 - $120,000

As we pivot from traditional tax compliance to a model where we serve as year-round trusted advisors, we are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to help lead this transformation.

The Opportunity Our firm is transitioning from a traditional focus on tax compliance to proactive, comprehensive advisory services. We believe in providing consistent, high-quality strategic guidance to our clients, making tax compliance a byproduct of our deeper engagement rather than the entirety of our interaction.

Who We Are Looking For We seek a forward-thinking professional who aspires to go beyond back-office compliance and become a trusted business advisor. This role is not only about maintaining our high standards in tax services but also about expanding into regular, proactive business consulting to help our clients thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct first level technical reviews of tax returns and workpapers for individuals, partnerships, s-corporations, trusts, and corporations, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Assist in managing client expectations and be responsive to their communications/emails (24-48 hour turnaround time) and ensure all client deliverables are timely met.

Prepare federal and state income tax returns, ensuring top-quality compliance as part of broader business insights.

Mentor and lead tax staff in both compliance and advisory capacities.

Conduct in-depth federal and state tax research and proactive tax planning and offer solutions.

Prepare and analyze quarterly and year-end financial projections for clients.

Support management with capacity planning for yourself and associates you are responsible for.

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor's or master’s in accounting from an accredited college or university.

CPA or EA certification preferred.

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

in business and individual income tax preparation/review (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040).

Strong desire to transition into a consultative role and take on management responsibilities.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and mentor staff.
